Well,

I just received an email from the person in chargo of the PhD, and it seems the company have just told him that the student needs to hold a post graduate degree, so no PhD for me.

:(

Well, since I have a new site I may as well try and put some content up and mention something which is going on right now.

Myself and Chris were recently invited (offered?) the chance to apply for a PhD position which was recently available at the university. The general area of study is data mining, with some work in machine learning. It really interested me, and I had a quick meeting with the member of staff who would be running the PhD. He did his PhD on related work, and seems to have some really interesting ideas on where the PhD will be going.

The decision on if I should apply or not was really easy to be honest, I snapped at the chance to do a PhD!! This was after I had run the idea by Sarah anyway . I just hope everything goes well now with the rest of my final year.

Well, finally got round to putting something up other than just a simple gallery. If you notice something that is broken don’t worry about it, I will be making changes to this on and off for a week or so I guess.
